Can a Woman Have an Anal Orgasm?

This orgasm originates in the anus and is usually induced by rhythmic insertion of an object into the anal canal. Because women do not have a prostate it was thought that they would not enjoy anal sex as much as a man would, however, the female prostate glands are stimulated through the pressure to the upper vaginal wall during this sexual activity. Therefore, those nerve endings provide a pleasurable sensation to the rectal and anal tissue.

Most women have described the anal orgasm as feeling like a building of sensual pleasure from the nerve endings in the anus, and creating an erotic sensation in the vagina, g-spot, and/or clitoris. The simultaneous stimulation of the anus merges with the heightening arousal in the females’ genitals and creates a deep and powerful orgasm that may even spread throughout the entire body.

The Vaginal/ Cervical Orgasm

This orgasm may begin in the vagina and/or cervix, and expand from there. It can also remain focused the entire time in those areas. This orgasm is demonstrated when the vagina remains snug and the uterus does not elevate.

During the heightening of excitement, the vaginal opening becomes more lax and then bears down upon the arrival of an orgasm. The pelvic muscles and uterus, as well as the anus may also begin to contract. At the peak of the orgasm, anything inside the vagina being used for stimulation may be forced out by the strength of the contractions.

Because the vaginal/cervical orgasm involves the cervix, which is located further up inside the vagina, a long object inserted into the vagina that can reach the cervix may be more successful in reaching this type of orgasm. This would include a penis or dildo that is over 5 inches in insertable length.

It is interesting to note that during this type of orgasm, there is evidence that the mouth of the cervix will actually widen to admit the head of a penis, and create a suction generated by uterine contractions for the uterus to take in semen.

This orgasm usually takes longer to build, and is best achieved with rhythmic thrusting. Even more helpful is thrusting after being clitorally stimulated. Many women describe it as a pressure that grows and then explodes deep with in the vagina, quickly spreading intense, euphoric energy throughout the entire body.

This orgasm can release an intense emotional response as it provides women with a sense of being penetrated more than just physically, but also in an emotionally vulnerable sense.

To achieve this orgasm, you can use your fingers, sex toys and sexual intercourse.

The Clitoral Orgasm

The clitoral orgasm occurs at the peak of clitoral stimulation. It begins with intense sexual excitement within the clitoris and as the orgasm peaks it sends a surge of pleasure throughout the body. Only several years ago did Masters & Johnson dispel the myth that this was the only kind of orgasm that women could have, when they showed proof of the G-spot orgasm.

Clitoral orgasms can be very intense, but may not be as “deep” as others. These orgasms are very pleasurable. Remember that after an orgasm the clitoris may retract, and become even more sensitive to further stimulation.
You can use your hands, fingers, knuckles, a shower head, running water, vibrators, rubbing up against an object, anything that will stimulate the clitoris.

Most women need a clitoral orgasm to climax and it is why so many women use vibrators on their clitoris alone. To see the most popular clitoral vibrators for solo use and for couples see our section-

Best Sexual Positions for Orgasms

One of the best ways to make it easier to orgasm is finding positions that will help your partner locate your g-spot. The first thing you need to do is find yours. The g-spot is easier to find once you are already aroused and it has become engorged with fluid when you are sexually excited. It is typically about 1.5 – 3 inches inside the vagina on the top.

Using yours or your partner’s finger in a come hither motion to put pressure on it is a great way to find it. You should be able to feel increased pleasure from the stimulation and it may feel more firm and sometimes rounded compared to the vaginal wall that surrounds it.

Because all women and men are different shapes and sizes, you may have to experiment with your partner to find the best position for them to stimulate your g-spot during sex. Often times, having your pelvis tilted upward can help make the difference in receiving optimal g-spot stimulation. Using a pillow under your hips if you are lying on your back can be helpful as well as a variety of positions such as on top or on your knees. There are even sex position pillows that help you get into the best positions.

Also, finding ways to stimulated the clitoris by having your pelvic bone provide stimulation. Any position that allows her legs to be wide open, exposing her clitoris and allow his pelvic bone to grind or thrust against it with constant motion will certainly increase the chances of a orgasm without sex toys.

One thing to consider is that there are now new couples sex toys that can be worn during sex to provide clitoral stimulation while you have sexual intercourse. Because many women find it much easier to orgasm with clitoral stimulation, many women are reporting that they are truly beneficial to their sex lives.

Also, do not forget that lubricant, even when she is aroused can help make clitoral stimulation feel even better. You will want to use a water based lubricant that is glycerin and Paraben free like these-

Fifty Shades: Sex Toy Question

Question:

In the book Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, Chapter 7, page 99, there is a BDSM sex toy mentioned called a flogger. What is the best flogger to get and how do you use one?

Answer:

Floggers come in a variety of forms and can range from a whip to something more like a feather duster in size. They come in a variety of materials from soft (such as fur or silk) to hard (such as leather with accents of metal). They can also be referred to as Whips, Crops, Paddles and Ticklers.

The key to using a flogger is first deciding with your partner through honest communication how you wish to utilize it. Discerning what levels of pleasure and even pain you are open to are key. Also, once using them for the first time, making sure to establish ground rules, like the ones outlined in the Fifty Shades book series is important.

You can use them to softly tease your lover by softly running them along their skin. Using this with a sexy blindfold will enhance the sensation of this. You can also use them to do medium to hard whipping and spanking. This will require more communication and even a safety word. Always start off softly and then progressively get harder making sure to check in with your partner on how it feels and if they are enjoying the sensations. It is best not to use them so hard that you would in any way break the skin or leave a permanent mark.

One of the most popular selling floggers that we sell is the Sensua by LELO, which is made with a soft suede and can be used for both soft and hard stimulation. They come in a variety of colors and are well made, with excellent customer reviews.

Gspot Orgasms vs. Clitoral Orgasms

Clitoral Orgasms

Clitoral orgasms are usually easier to achieve, as the clitoris is the most sensitive area of a woman’s vagina as it is abundantly supplied with nerves. The clitoral hood is formed by the connection of the inner vaginal lips. This small hood covers the clitoris, in much the same manner as foreskin covers a penis. When you pull the hood back, you can see that the clitoris is usually about the size of a pencil eraser, however, the size does vary from woman to woman, much the same way penis size varies from man to man.

When men ask us here at HolisticWisdom.com, why the clitoris is so important, we ask them how they would enjoy stimulation to their penis without touching the head of it. Typically, men then realize why it is so important when you phrase it that way,
as that is the most sensitive part of a man's penis (the frenulum).

The part of the clitoris that you see is actually much like the head of a man's penis. A man has a shaft to his penis; a woman has a shaft to her clitoris. The shaft is located under the hood, and is more easily felt when a woman is aroused as it become more rigid as it fills with blood basically becomes a clitoral erection.

What makes women love vibrators so much is that they bring healthy blood flow to the clitoral area quite easily. This in turn allows for a higher sex drive (libido) and enhanced pleasure even when she is not using it. The old adage of 'if you don't use it, you lose it,' is actually true in this case and it is highly recommended that women who struggle with a low sex drive (lack of libido) from the side effects of menopause, prescriptions drugs, stress and other factors, use vibrators to help them regain their sex drive as well as increase their ability to experience more pleasure even long after using one.

G-spot Orgasms

This orgasm may begin at the Gspot (female prostate) and stay focused there throughout the building and final release of the orgasm, or may expand throughout the body. This orgasm is demonstrated when the G-spot (Skenes Glands) is stimulated and becomes ‘puffy’ and swollen as the tissue surrounding the female prostate glands fill with blood during sexual arousal. This results in the tissue becoming firm to the touch.

This orgasm usually takes longer to build. Because the G-spot is not stimulated as much by friction as it is with pressure, thus, using a rhythmic, pushing against the G-spot is more pleasurable than light rubbing. The g-spot increases fluid inside, fueling arousal thus, making it puffy and easier to locate once aroused.

Just as clitoral vibrators help women who struggle with a low sex drive (lack of libido), so do gspot vibrators. Especially like the Intensity by JOPEN, which uses electro stimulation. Research has shown that using these types of vibrators not only enhance sexual stimulation for her (even weeks after using one), but make her vagina feel tighter and gives her more pelvic control. This is done through the automatic Kegel exercises that this type of sex toy provides. This can also prevent or treat urinary incontinence issues.

Masturbation Tips for Women

All women should try masturbation whether they are single or in a relationship, not just because it is healthy and fun... but because it is a wonderful way to embrace sensual beauty within. It allows a woman to better know herself, her body, sexual desires, sexual preferences and provides her with the opportunity for a rich and fertile imagination through her sexual fantasies.

There is no right or wrong way to masturbate but finding what most pleases you is a wonderful journey. By exploring masturbation women can also become more comfortable with their own bodies and sexual functioning. It also allows them to be better equipped at communicating to a partner what brings them pleasure so that sexual intimacy can be increased and orgasms are more easily achieved.

Masturbation Tips for Women

Preparation

The first thing to do is to set up a comfortable environment. If you're going to use toys, get them and a good personal lubricant out and near the play area. Get in the mood by taking a warm bath, reading an erotic book or even watch an erotic or romantic movie. You can also think of a past sexual encounters that really gets you aroused, or fantasize about one you'd like to have. Whatever appeals to you, relaxes you and enhances the mood is the best place to start.

Clitoral Stimulation

The clitoris is the one organ on our bodies that is purely for sexual pleasure. Women can also be very excited by stimulation of the g-spot, but some women are unable to orgasm unless they receive some sort of clitoral stimulation.

You can use your hands, fingers, knuckles, a shower head, running water, vibrators, rubbing up against an object, anything that will stimulate the clitoris with repetitive motion. By using your fingers or hand, you can rub, stroke or softly pinch the clitoris. You can also rub the area around the clitoris and you may find that one side is preferred over another.

The shower massager head can be wonderful too. The shower head where you can adjust the stream of water, a steady, gentle stream and then a more powerful jet spray can be quite exciting. Make sure to avoid getting the water spraying directly into the vaginal opening as this is not a healthy thing to do.

Holding a vibrator up against your clitoris is the way to feel the maximum amount of intense stimulation most quickly. Some women have found it so easy to climax with a vibrator that they can have an orgasm in less than a minute. Clitoral vibrators come with many different features. Just make sure to get one that is nontoxic like the ones we sell on HolisticWisdom.com

G-Spot Stimulation

If you can locate your g-spot and can manipulate and stimulate it with your fingers, using them to apply pressure to it can be a great technique to enhance orgasmic pleasure. Sometimes using pillows, a bed headboard or even a bath tub to push yourself into a position with your legs open can provide easier access to reach up inside your vagina. Many women also find it easier to use curved sex toy designed to easily stimulate the g-spot.

There are many sex toys out there that are specifically made to locate and stimulate the g-spot and those are simply called g-spot vibrators and dildos. There are also dual action vibrators such as  Rabbit Vibrators like those featured on Sex and the City; a vibrator that is designed to stimulate the g-spot and the clitoris simultaneously.

Is It More Difficult for Women to Orgasm than for Men?

Is it harder for women to reach orgasm than men?

It is true that in general, women often find it more challenging to reach orgasm compared to men. Surveys and clinical experience confirm that between 10 to15 percent of all American women have never experienced orgasm and only 35 percent of the female population will orgasm during intercourse.
There are many reasons for a woman's inability to climax, including such things as being unaware of her body’s sexual responses, sexual anxiety, generalized stress, health issues and being on certain medications such as antidepressants and birth control. Other reasons may have more to do with the woman's partner, who may be uneducated about her sexual anatomy, have poor communication skills with her or hold unrealistic expectations of how a woman can reach an orgasm.

The inability to orgasm at all or difficulty reaching orgasm during intercourse has created considerable concern among women and their partners, causing one, the other, or both to feel inept or dysfunctional.

Women often find orgasms more elusive for three reasons –

1)         Physical issues such as medications, health issues as well as mental stress and lack of sleep are causes for lowered sexual functioning.

Scientists in the Netherlands have recently proven that lack of anxiety and deep relaxation are a key aspect in female arousal, more so than direct stimulation to the genitals. What this means is that letting go of all anxiety and fear may be the more important, even necessary aspect of achieving orgasm. With women often working, raising children and multitasking throughout long days they are certainly no stranger to the symptoms of stress. Finding ways to reduce stress has shown to be significantly effective when it comes to improving sexual functioning.

A variety of medications cause decreased sex drive as well as the body’s ability to respond sexually through lubrication. Also, some health concerns such as diabetes, cancer and other physical ailments can impact sexual functioning and libido. Therefore ruling out physical possibilities through an annual check up is always recommended.

2)         Lack of sexual education and awareness of their body.

Many women are in the dark about their own sexuality, let alone the resources and products that are available for them to enhance their sexual experiences. Women’s sexual health has been widely ignored over much of our history and while our society is beginning to be more focused on this important issue, there is still a great deal of research needed. From better understanding of hormones, surgeries involving the female reproductive system to the effects these have on a woman’s libido are all areas that should be further studied.
It is also important that we make this research more readily available to all women so that they are better able to be educated about and embrace their sexuality.

3)         Mainstream norms in our society are more encouraging toward men when it comes to masturbation and sex in general, which in turn provides them with more freedom to explore their bodies sexually, thus allowing them to be more efficient at understanding the stimulation that will allow them to orgasm.
For women, there are many ways to learn how to become orgasmic and expand the levels of pleasure and satisfaction either with a partner or alone. Because women tend to find it easier to have an orgasm when they are feeling relaxed and in a sensual state of mind, finding ways to decompress is recommended.
Female orgasm can sometimes take quite a long time. Many women worry that they take too long to orgasm and the worry in turn tends to affect their ability to relax and go with the flow into an orgasm. The fact that women typically take longer than men to have an orgasm should not be seen as negative; it is simply the difference between genders.  The average time for a woman to achieve orgasm is 20-60 minutes, however many women learn to have an orgasm with 5-20 min of stimulation. This is true especially for women using a sex toy with vibration or having intercourse with a long term partner.

Sqweel Wheel Reviews

The first time we saw the Sqweel Wheel,  (A.K.A. Squeal Wheel) we knew it was going to be special.  The design was unlike other oral sex toys on the market and a unique design in an industry that often has many of the same products by different distributors; it is something special when something completely new hits the market. We wondered just how soft the little tongues would be and when the manufacturer sent us a sample to check out, we were really impressed. Those little tongues felt very real and several of the female staff in the office were already putting in an order for one just for them.

Like most sex toys, the Sqweel Wheel needs lubricant to be effective and as always, we recommend only using a Waterbased lubricant that is Paraben free.

Once turned on the little soft, pink tongues rotate providing a sweet licking sensation like no other product on the market. Once the female staff tried them for themselves, their
recommendations to customers were clearly passionate ones.

Turns out the Sqweel Wheel delivers on the promise of feeling like a real tongue giving oral sex, except these tongues never get tired and will keep going until you are ready to. The speeds are adjustable and that means you can start off slowly and move into something more intense.

Once customers began trying them and word got around, we sold them like hotcakes and so far, we have not had one negative review on them. They were recently featured on the Jay Leno show, which caused them to sell out for a while and when I say sell out, I mean the whole industry went dry. However, they are back in stock and have some pretty cool attachments that you can now get with them.
